White Elephant Nantucket

Image
The White Elephant Nantucket  Let's Travel Moore is a regular at the White Elephant ACK... Perfect spot for family travel & couples. The Wauwinet is the only Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts property around the island.  It’s spectacular, but quite a bit far from White Elephant village if you don’t have a car. I suggest you stay at the White Elephant, buy a pair of Nantucket Reds at Murray’s and walk about town!  But don’t skip lunch at Toppers! The Wauwinet Lady can transport you over to this sister property on boat. A great experience!  Back to the White Elephant ๐Ÿ˜  We've stayed in cottages, residences, and - for our last visit - the hotel with a view of the harbor and (very convenient!) easy access to Brant Point...More on that later... The property is full of nautical art… Just like the entire island Books about everything ACK… Don’t miss the Nantucket Atheneum ๐Ÿ“š Check out children’s beach if you’re trying to get a little one all tuckered out before bed. Or calm enough

One & Only Palmilla

One & Only Palmilla (with a baby!)  2023… What a whirlwind!  I still have many adventures I have yet to share with you about traveling with my family. I’m (finally!) updating my blog. One of my favorites was One & Only Palmilla ๐ŸŒดfor its glamorous, old-world-Mexican luxury with splendid ocean views. ๐ŸŒŠ One of my goals for this year was to take baby Max with me on every trip. I’m pleased to say that in 2023 he traveled internationally (three times!) visited 7 states, and took over 20 flights. ✈️  Palmilla... A wellness destination full of adventure as well as romantic spot for destination weddings with its own little chapel.  The ideal place to get away from it all, even the kids! You can bring the kiddos along, or introduce them to the kids club. They won't want to leave! I felt so relaxed and rejuvenated during this trip, even with a baby. Perhaps because we had our own private butler… That definitely helps put one at ease! Our room was right next to the gym and the spa

Four Seasons New Orleans

The Four Seasons New Orleans  The good times rolled at the Four Seasons New Orleans. We have visited with and without a baby, and both times were magnificent. The Chandelier Bar (showed below) is magnificent! Miss River is a fun spot to eat, with jazz music. Chemin ร  la Mer is my favorite, with panoramic views of the Mississippi River. I always get the Savage Blonde Oysters. It is the place to go for traditional Louisiana fare with a twist of French techniques.  The fitness center at the Four Seasons is world class, but if you are looking for more of an outdoors family adventure, check out Audubon Park. There is a zoo as well as lovely grounds to stroll and walk off all the jambalaya & such. The Audubon Aquarium is actually closer to the Four Seasons than it is to Audubon Park! This experience is not to be missed. It was my son’s first aquarium experience. It was entertaining for us too.  Another fun spot with a unique bar experience, bar Marilou. a hidden gem for craft cocktails

The Greenbrier

Another trip in the books for my favorite colleague, my baby. This property goes all out for Christmas! ๐ŸŽ„    ⛲️ Natural mineral springs have drawn guests, including US presidents, to The Greenbrier for more than two centuries. The historic hotel opened in 1913. ๐Ÿ“ฎLetters to Santa, a fun run and cookie decorating workshops are all part of The Greenbrier’s lineup in the days surrounding December 25. ⛪️ On Christmas Eve, there’s a Season’s Greetings Dinner ($125 per adult; $55 per child) and a service in the resort’s chapel. On Christmas Day, puzzles and board games, indoor planetarium presentations and a Christmas musical will keep families entertained. #GiftofTravel #TheGreenbrier Let’s Travel Moore

Montage Palmetto Bluff

Image
Montage Palmetto Bluff  First flight with my firstborn! This past Father's Day, we travelled to the magical Montage Palmetto Bluff!  We waited four months after our son's birth. We were long overdue for a family trip! I wanted to treat my husband to a bit of golf, spa, and spectacular views of the Palmetto trees. We finally decided to embark on this quintessentially Southern Montage Palmetto Bluff.  Get ready to enjoy the best of the low country! You'll do everything from having the opportunity to spot an alligator and enjoy delicious Southern food. If you travel with a baby, this property will offer complimentary pack and play, diaper genie, and stroller rentals (we went for the Uppababy Ridge- and actually bought our own recently!) Travelers of all ages can enjoy activities such as "porching", boating, Veuve Cliquot picnics & bike rides, photoshoots, pool time, spa treatments and delicious food, including nightly s'mores! You will be all smiles... especi
